Hello! I’m Julie Goodhart, and if you’re someone I am connected with you'll know me as Jules. I am the proud founder of Transforming Perspective.
From a young age I became aware that situations, circumstances and life can be looked at through so many different lenses. I could see situations happen, and people respond in so many different ways, responding to not just the situation, but everything else that had happened before then, their self-talk and self-awareness that influence their response to that situation.
Somewhere deep down I’ve always known, but not always been connected to, the fact we all can choose not only how we respond, but how we create ourselves. Saying that it has taken me 40 years to get here, drawing from experiences of adventure, trauma, the privilege of living and being educated in Australia, burn-out, travel, learning to be co-dependent and to be a partner after striving to do it alone and have independence, community, adventure, parenting, volunteering, learning to say no rather than yes to every opportunity, letting go of judgement and slow down and focus on what is important to me, oh and did I say adventure? This is just a quick a snapshot of some of the experiences that have brought me to coaching.
From a professional perspective I come to coaching following a 20-year career which has traversed through sectors of international business, finance and banking, aid and development and project management and have had the opportunity of working internationally in a range of countries including Australia, China, Indonesia, PNG, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom and Vanuatu. What a diverse and fascinating world we live in! My career has has provided me with a sound knowledge base and expertise across areas that include product development and management, project management, governance, partnerships and stakeholder engagement, communications and marketing, business development and leadership across private and not-for-profit organisations in business, investment banking, finance, international aid and community development. Recently I have been experimenting with business start-ups in the technology and leadership space learning from both failures and success.
I am a trained and accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation and follow their code of ethics, and hold a Masters of Social Sciences (International Development), a Bachelor of International Business, a Certificate in the Foundations of NeuroLeadership and is a graduate of the South Australian Governor’s Leadership Foundation.
